How To Make Edible Chocolate Slime, Full Recipe, Ingredients

Homemade slime is one of the hottest trends in DIY at the moment. And chocolate, well, that will always be hot. Combine them both together and you have a recipe for something super trendy, super fun and super delicious – edible chocolate slime! And the best part is – it’s super easy to make! Does it get any better?

Now. normally, homemade slime is not edible. So, if you’re trying other slime recipes, be sure to keep that in mind and do not attempt to eat any slime recipe unless it specifically says that it is edible. That being said, this recipe is totally edible! So, let’s get started!
The ingredients needed are simple and inexpensive as well as readily available at any grocery store.

What Do I Need?
•One 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk
•Two tablespoons of chocolate syrup or melted chocolate
•1 1/2 tablespoons of cornstarch
•Saucepan or double boiler
•Large spoon or spatula

How Do I Do It?
If you are melting your chocolate, place the chocolate pieces in the double boiler or in a saucepan on low heat. Stir chocolate frequently until it is completely melted and smooth. Once the chocolate is melted, stir in the sweetened condensed milk and cornstarch. If you are using chocolate syrup, you can just stir the ingredients in at the same time.

Continue to stir and heat the mixture until it thickens up. When you can push the mixture to the side and it doesn’t move back right away, your slime is done cooking. Remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool.

If you like, and to speed things up, you can place your chocolate slime in the refrigerator to cool it off quicker. It should only take about twenty minutes or so, but you can leave it in there for up to an hour if you like.

And that’s it! When it is fully cooled, your slime is ready to use! Stir it up a bit and it may be somewhat sticky, but it should be a gooey blob of chocolatey bliss!

What Else Do I Need to Know?
When you are done playing with your slime, you can store it in a sealed plastic bag in the refrigerator for up to two days. The best part is, after you play with it (or while you’re playing with it), you get to eat it!

Use caution when cooking to avoid burns and always supervise children in the kitchen.

Chocolate may stain some surfaces or fabrics, so do not place the slime on furniture or clothing and use caution on countertops and other household surfaces.
If you love chocolate and love slime, this recipe is the perfect combination of both – gooey, slimy fun and a sweet treat as well! This can be a fun project for summer camps, sleepovers or after-school time.

But, who says you have to be a kid to play with slime? Grown-ups can enjoy the fun too – just grab a glob and dive into the sweetest fun you’ll have all day!
